Thibault Deschamps

Graduating in 2015 from the Haute École Léonard de Vinci in Brussels, Belgium, I began my career working with individuals diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Later, I completed my equivalency at Université Laval and obtained a professional Master’s degree in occupational therapy in 2018. This journey allowed me to develop a diverse approach tailored to the varied needs of my patients.

Each patient is unique, and I enjoy adapting my interventions to their specific needs in order to help them achieve a better quality of life.

I have expertise in hand rehabilitation, socio-professional rehabilitation, prosthetic rehabilitation, as well as in the assessment of workstations and home environments. This diversity enables me to work in various contexts and offer tailored solutions to my patients’ challenges.

I adopt a coaching-focused approach: the patient is the master of their development, and my role is to provide the tools and support they need to progress at their own pace. I also incorporate humor into my practice, as I believe a relaxed environment fosters learning and recovery.

Outside of work, I enjoy practicing several sports: running, cross-training, boxing, cross-country skiing, hiking, and cosom hockey. I also enjoy motorized sports, cooking, family activities, and cinema.

If I were to give advice to my patients, it would be: take a moment each day to breathe and think of something positive. Well-being is as much about the mind as it is about the body.
