Charles Alexandre Thivierge
Recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Université Laval, along with a microprogram in Nutrition, I have developed a strong interest in rehabilitation, return-to-sport training, and human performance. My academic background, combined with hands-on experience working with athletes and diverse client populations, allows me to bring a human-centered, rigorous, and individualized approach to my role as an Administrative Assistant and Rehabilitation Assistant at Dextérité.
What motivated me to pursue kinesiology was my fascination with the human body, movement, and the impact of physical activity on health. I enjoy understanding how the body responds to effort, how to optimize performance, prevent injuries, and improve quality of life through exercise.
I developed a strong interest in rehabilitation and return-to-sport training through my academic, athletic, and professional experiences. I am particularly passionate about this field because of the human, analytical, and collaborative aspects it involves, both with patients and the professionals who support them.
My approach is based on listening, collaboration, and professionalism. In my role as an Administrative Assistant and Rehabilitation Assistant, I place great importance on providing efficient and compassionate support to both patients and the clinical team in order to contribute to a positive experience and a welcoming environment.
What I enjoy most about my work is the tangible impact we can have on people’s daily lives. Building trusting relationships, encouraging individuals to progress, and seeing them regain confidence in their abilities are especially rewarding aspects of my work.
Outside the clinic, I am a very active person. I regularly practice soccer and alpine skiing, while also enjoying several other sports such as volleyball, basketball, tennis, and badminton. I also enjoy discovering new restaurants and sharing good meals with friends and family.
My practice is guided by values of rigor, professionalism, and empathy. I strongly believe that the greatest results are built through small habits maintained consistently, and that every improvement represents a step toward greater confidence in oneself and in one’s body.
